Baby undertakes the replacement, so he spends a lot of time with Johnny. The dance teacher struggles with her attraction to Baby at first, but is unable to stay away from the girl for long. The boy is from the working class, and on top of that, Baby’s father thinks he was the child of the failed Penny, so they are banned from each other. Is the truth revealed?

We can see cheerful, sometimes touching scenes about the attraction of a comic bachelor and a member of the more comical administrative staff, the love disappointment and falling in love again of a writer who has fled to the south of France, the married woman her husband is cheating on, her new woman to keep from himself or a little schoolboy who is encouraged by his widow’s foster father to confess his feelings for a little girl.
